Listening To That Little Voice And Following Your Dream

Here’s the thing about dreams and following your passion, ignore them and they generate this voice that keeps whispering in your ear, and the more you keep trying to block it out, batting it away, the louder it gets until all you can hear is an irritating, roaring noise. That irritation is telling you, you need to take action.

Listening to the voice and following your dreams can be one of the scariest, leaps into the unknown thing you can do, and yes the ride is not easy but boy oh boy can the rewards be sweet.

Over the years I have had little voices that I have listened to opening up doors to amazing -I never thought this could happen to me- experiences. Ignoring some voices has led me into things like unsuitable partnerships and devaluing my worth. As I have made my way I have learned to lean in and embrace those voices to give them time and space it needs to be heard.

In my line of work I am privileged to be surrounded by individuals who are listening to, and following that voice in their ear, and their journey is what motivates and encourages me to keep going. Support to turn that little voice into reality is crucial, especially in the early days of becoming an entrepreneur and can make all difference in staying the course or giving up at the first hurdle. Support doesn’t mean having to work with a coach, it can be reading blog posts, journals, catching up on podcasts, listening to speakers and meeting and chatting to others at events, and more. Whatever you choose, it is important you do not attempt to do it all by yourself.

What little voice are you ignoring? And more importantly, what are you going to do about it? If you don’t mind sharing I would love to know. Because you owe it to yourself, and the world around you to shine brightly as the star you were put into this world for. And if you don’t what’s the alternative… waking up one day and wishing what if…

Happy New Year! And may this be the year you shine brightly as the star that you are!
