Hi, I am Tapiwa, a London-based graphic designer turned writer and content curator.
As a graphic designer and brand guardian I’ve told the stories of world
leading brands through print and digital design. I‘ve done this for 20+
years. In 2010 I started blogging about design, using my award-winning blog atelier 55 as a space to gather the stories of
underrepresented designers, makers and creatives and share them with
the world. Publishing a book had always been at the back of my mind so
taking a leap of faith I pitched my blog to a well-known publisher and
authored my first book with them.
Writing a book ushered in invitations to speak at events and on panels,
curate exhibitions, advise cultural organisations, and get featured in
world-leading publications such as World of Interiors, Elle Decoration, and on
CNN online to name a few. I soon followed up my debut with another one,
which I self-published. Along the way I have helped others produce,
design and publish their own books bringing their stories to print. As a
writer I have the privilege and joy of interviewing creatives and
sharing their stories with online platforms and magazines such as House
The stories shared with me are truly fascinating, they inspire and
motivate me on a personal level to share my own, and on a professional level
to keep doing what I do. Which is the responsibility of taking these
precious stories and doing them justice by sharing them with the world.
More recently I have taken up podcasting harnessing the power of spoken
word to reach new audiences.
As you can see storytelling is at the heart of what I do. It connects me
to wonderful, purpose driven individuals like you. And I am here to help you share
